Vinnie's Mac & Cheese was founded to deliver great tasting sustainable food
Paul and Katie always wanted to have a food business and decided to take the plunge in early 2021, setting up Vinnie’s Mac and Cheese.
Katie’s 18 years’ experience in hospitality has given her great awareness of food allergies and choices. While planning menus, Katie will always include gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options using quality fresh and, wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients.
Paul has more than 35 years’ experience in carpentry and building, so fitted out the Vinnie’s trailer to a high standard. Although Paul has little hospitality experience, he is a keen home cook and has a wealth of customer service experience.
When setting up Vinnie’s Mac and Cheese, it was important to the family to really consider sustainability and to make that a main focus for the company.
The growing awareness of just how much we have mistreated our planet means we all need to work together to help prevent more damage.
Of course, ticking all the boxes is hard to do for a small start-up business and there are many things that we aim to achieve over the next few years. But we have started how we mean to go on, with the long-term goal of becoming a certified B Corp company.
